It is difficult to imagine just how fine the fibers are in micro fiber bath towels. Imagine a fiber which is one tenth the thickness of the finest silk and one hundredth of the diameter of a human hair. That is super fine in anyone’s book. The combination of polyester and polyamide in the fibers has been proven to generate a static electricity charge which actually attracts water, dust and dirt.
Using microfiber shower towels also means that you can dry yourself so much faster after a shower, or a bath, because of the superior absorption. For anyone who has skin allergies there is also a hypoallergenic range of microfiber bath towels.
The things to look for when buying new microfiber towels wholesale or retail are related to the quality. Take a look at the labelling and ensure that you are getting a microfiber towel made of a mixture of polyester and polyamide fibers. The fabric should feel soft and pliable, not coarse or scratchy and feel lightweight to hold.
Microfiber bath towels do not suit everyone and many people find that a soft, fluffy and warm thick cotton bath towel is far more pleasant to use. Others appreciate the speed with which microfiber can dry the skin after sports, swimming, or bathing, and the fact that a microfiber towel is thin and dries very quickly, reduces laundry costs. It is really a matter of personal choice. If you have never used a microfiber bath towel before, it’s a good idea to buy a single one and make up your mind from there.
